14-8-2009 | Welcome to our three latest members
Three new charities have joined Legacy Promotion Ireland in recent months.
Founded in 1828 by Daniel O'Connell to provide dignified burial facilities for people of all religions, Glasnevin Trust (formerly Dublin Cemeteries Committee) is a not-for-profit organisation, steeped in history.
The Trust aims to enhance the experience of visitors to all cemeteries within the group (Dardistown, Palmerstown, Newlands Cross, Goldenbridge and Glasnevin). As well as burial and cremation, the Trust operates monument works and florists and has recently launched online Genealogical searches from records dating back to the 1800's.
The DIT Foundation is a registered charity established to support Dublin Institute of Technology in its mission as a comprehensive higher education institution. DIT is one of the largest and most innovative third level institutions in Ireland with 21,000 students in full and part time career focused programmes.
Rehab is a charity that works locally in communities to provide care and support for people with physical, sensory and intellectual disabilities. The organisation aims to ensure that everyone gets a chance to live life their way by developing individualised plans for each person to help them achieve their own personal goals.
